Accelerating Cancer Drug Discovery: Harnessing the Power of tempusverse on the Tempus Lens Platform

Abstract

The use of real-world evidence (RWE) has become increasingly crucial for drug discovery and development. However, researchers often face challenges in standardizing clinical and molecular approaches to efficiently analyze and interpret vast amounts of data from multiple sources. To transform the analytical process, we developed tempusverse, a suite of R packages to analyze Tempus and public datasets on the Tempus Lens Workspaces platform. The tempusverse is a comprehensive collection of production-ready R packages designed with modularity, reproducibility, and robust versioning in mind. This thoughtful design not only streamlines the analysis of one of the world’s largest real-world cancer databases but also ensures research integrity is preserved throughout the analytical process. The packages offer standardized methodology for data wrangling, analysis, and visualization, enabling researchers to gain fast insights and make informed decisions rapidly. By combining the power of tempusverse with the production-grade workspace environment provided by the Tempus Lens platform, researchers can seamlessly integrate public data sources, efficiently process information, and generate publication-ready visualizations. The symbiotic relationship between tempusverse and Lens empowers pharmaceutical researchers to accelerate the discovery of novel cancer therapeutics while maintaining the highest standards of scientific rigor.
