Interactive reports enable users to perform data discovery and analysis and provides a more engaging and dynamic experience compared with static reports. However, presenting interactive reports with Shiny or Dash requires the use of an external server which can be costly and time consuming. Interactive reports using Quarto or Rmarkdown can be a valuable alternative to create accessible, user-friendly reports that provide comparative use to more server intensive applications without the expense.
